Popular YouTuber Coffeezilla, real name Stephen Findeisen, is locked in a public dispute with controversial influencer Andrew Tate over his sudden shift from being a crypto critic to promoting meme coins. Coffeezilla, known for exposing scams and unethical practices in the crypto world, pulled footage of Tate’s earlier statements, where he harshly criticized cryptocurrencies, claiming they provided no societal benefit.
Tate’s Earlier Crypto Criticism
In a resurfaced clip, Tate dismisses the entire crypto space, saying, “Crypto is the only scenario I can think of where you can make a whole bunch of money while benefiting society zero.” He even admitted that he enjoys mocking the crypto community, calling them “degenerate losers.” At that time, Tate had no interest in launching or endorsing any coins, stating explicitly that he didn’t plan to exploit his followers.
Coffeezilla Investigates Tate’s Crypto Promotions
Despite Tate’s earlier stance, Coffeezilla’s investigation shows a stark reversal. Tate has recently promoted several meme coins, all of which performed poorly after his endorsement. One notable example is “ROOST,” a project that crashed by 90% following his promotion. Tate was also involved in the “F Madonna token,” another meme coin that lost significant value soon after.
These actions contradict Tate’s past criticisms of crypto, where he condemned such schemes as “gambling” and “rug pulls.”
The Real World Token: Pyramid Scheme Allegations
Coffeezilla also explored Tate’s involvement in the “Real World Token,” linked to his controversial online course, previously branded as Hustler’s University. According to Coffeezilla, Tate’s description of the token mirrors the structure of a pyramid scheme. Subscribers reportedly earn “PowerPoints” that can be exchanged for tokens representing a share of the platform’s profits, raising questions about the legitimacy of the setup.
Tate’s Legal Troubles
Adding to the controversy, Tate was arrested in 2022 in Romania on charges of human trafficking and organized crime, which has further tarnished his reputation. Despite these allegations, Tate and his brother Tristan have maintained their innocence, and the legal case remains a subject of international media attention.
Coffeezilla Reaches Out for a Response
In his YouTube video, shared with his 3.8 million subscribers, Coffeezilla revealed that he attempted to reach out to Tate for a response to these allegations. However, instead of addressing the claims, Tate leaked Coffeezilla’s email and encouraged his followers to harass him.
In recent tweets, Tate boasted about his ability to “pump any coin” and claimed he wanted to help people profit from these pumps. He questioned why other famous individuals don’t assist their followers in making money.
Coffeezilla’s History of Exposing Scams
This isn’t the first time Coffeezilla has uncovered alleged crypto schemes. He has previously investigated high-profile cases, including the Save the Kids Token promoted by members of FaZe Clan, as well as other controversial projects like BitConnect, SafeMoon, and financial personalities such as Grant Cardone and Tai Lopez.
Although Coffeezilla has yet to fully prove his allegations against Tate, his investigation has sparked significant attention, furthering the debate over Tate’s role in the crypto space.
