Prisma Finance Hacker Demands Public Apology and Live Conference Following $11M Breach

In the aftermath of the devastating $11.6 million breach at Prisma Finance, the white-hat hacker responsible for the exploit has made a bold demand for a public apology and a live conference to confirm their identity.

The hacker’s request for a press conference follows criticism for their use of Tornado Cash to send 1,840 ETH, equivalent to approximately $6.5 million. This unconventional move, typically associated with malicious attacks, was defended by the hacker as an attempt to expose vulnerabilities within Prisma Finance’s protocol.

In a recent on-chain message, the hacker urged the Prisma Finance team to reveal their real identities in an online conference and issue apologies to affected users and investors. Furthermore, the hacker emphasized that they bore no responsibility for the breach and called for changes to accusatory language in Prisma Finance’s communications.

Despite ongoing negotiations for the return of stolen funds, the hacker stipulated that discussions would only proceed following the proposed online conference.

The breach occurred earlier in the week when the attacker received funds from FixedFloat and swiftly executed a malicious contract, resulting in significant losses for the stablecoin protocol Prisma Finance.

The hacker’s demand for accountability and transparency underscores the urgency for Prisma Finance to address the breach openly and take responsibility for any oversights in their security measures.
