Stripe, one of the world’s leading payment processors, has officially enabled crypto stablecoin payments for subscription-based services, marking a significant milestone in the global adoption of digital assets.

The new feature allows businesses and developers using Stripe’s platform to accept USDC, USDT, and other regulated stablecoins for recurring payments such as memberships, SaaS plans, and online services.

“Our mission has always been to increase the GDP of the internet,” a Stripe spokesperson said. “Integrating stablecoins makes payments faster, borderless, and more inclusive — especially for users in emerging markets.”

This integration follows Stripe’s gradual return to the crypto sector, after reintroducing USDC payments earlier this year on the Solana and Ethereum blockchains.

Industry experts say the addition of stablecoin payments for subscriptions could revolutionize online commerce, offering instant settlements and lower fees compared to traditional payment rails.

The move also highlights a growing trend among fintech firms embracing Web3 technology, as global demand for crypto-based payment infrastructure continues to expand rapidly.
