Christie’s Launches Digital Art Auction to Support UNHCR
Christie’s is hosting an online auction, “Bridging Worlds: Digital Art Beyond Borders”, in collaboration with Switzerland for UNHCR from October 23 to 30 on the Christie’s 3.0 platform.
This auction, inspired by the 60th Biennale’s theme, will feature works from digital artists like Andreas Gysin, Deafbeef, Emi Kusano, and Erick Calderon (Snowfro). A portion of the proceeds will support UNHCR’s humanitarian efforts, with an event in Geneva on October 24 to highlight blockchain’s role in advancing global causes.
Ethereum Hits 1M Validators
Ethereum has surpassed 1 million validators, reflecting a 27.2% increase in staking participation since June 2024. The total volume of staked ETH has risen to 34.7 million ETH, bolstered by the Ethereum futures ETFs and the Shanghai upgrade. Liquid staking now represents 45% of all staked ETH, largely driven by platforms like Lido and Ether.fi, which saw 11,600% growth.
