Elixir Games Announces $KIDEN IDO for RoboKiden, a New Blockchain-Based Adventure Shooter

On September 25, 2024, Elixir Games revealed the launch of the Initial DEX Offering (IDO) for $KIDEN, the core token for their upcoming game RoboKiden, set to go live on September 30. This launch allows players to dive into the game’s economy and enrich their overall gaming experience.

RoboKiden: A Blockchain-Based Adventure Shooter

RoboKiden is a third-person adventure shooter built on blockchain technology, where $KIDEN serves as the in-game currency. Players can use $KIDEN to purchase loot boxes containing NFTs (non-fungible tokens) of varying rarities. These NFTs enhance gameplay, allowing users to utilize their digital assets in battles to earn even more rewards. This structure reflects the evolving play-to-earn (P2E) model that has become popular in the blockchain gaming world.

One key element of RoboKiden’s gameplay is its progression system, where players can upgrade their weapons, skills, and bots to unlock additional features, including emotes and kill bands. This system adds depth and encourages long-term player engagement.

Token Economy and Deflationary Mechanism

To ensure a sustainable in-game economy, RoboKiden incorporates a deflationary token model. With each game played, 2.5% of the circulating $KIDEN tokens are burned, which helps maintain the token’s long-term value and strengthens the game’s economic ecosystem for both players and holders.

Tackling P2E Exploitation and Ensuring Fair Play

While the play-to-earn (P2E) sector has grown rapidly, it has also faced significant challenges, including security breaches and economic instability in early successes like Axie Infinity. Addressing these concerns, Carlos Roldan, CEO of Elixir Games, shared that RoboKiden moves beyond the traditional P2E model by emphasizing skill-based gameplay and tactical shooting mechanics.

Roldan explained, “RoboKiden is not just about earning. You need real skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork to succeed.”

The balanced token economy and the inclusion of deflationary mechanics are part of Elixir’s strategy to prevent issues seen in earlier P2E games.

Built on the Avalanche Network for Security and Scalability

Elixir Games has chosen the Avalanche network to power RoboKiden, citing its scalability and security benefits. Avalanche has also been a partner in Elixir’s acquisition of RoboKiden, further strengthening the relationship between the two entities. Roldan noted the strong support from Ava Labs, the developers of Avalanche, which has provided confidence in the network’s potential.

Bridging Traditional and Web3 Gamers

Recognizing that blockchain games can be intimidating for traditional gamers, Elixir Games has developed an inclusive platform designed to welcome players from all backgrounds. Whether users are familiar with Web3 or not, they can enjoy a seamless gaming experience.

Roldan emphasized, “Our platform is made by gamers, for gamers. You don’t need to be a blockchain expert to play. We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy hundreds of games.”

Additionally, Elixir has introduced a tier system based on the amount of $KIDEN tokens held, allowing gamers of all levels to participate in the IDO without requiring significant upfront capital, ensuring broader accessibility.

Looking Ahead: A Promising Future for Elixir Games

With the global Web3 gaming market projected to surpass $40 billion by 2025, Elixir Games is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth. The company has already built a strong foundation in Web3 gaming, with previous titles like CyberTitans under its belt.

Looking to the future, Roldan hinted at more exciting developments, saying, “We have plenty of surprises lined up this year that we’re sure will amaze players!”

With RoboKiden’s launch on the horizon and Elixir Games continuing to innovate in the Web3 space, the company is poised to be a key player in the rapidly expanding blockchain gaming industry.
