StepN Go, a leading social lifestyle app, has announced its second collaboration with Adidas to release a new non-fungible token (NFT) sneaker collection called Genesis. This NFT drop, hosted on the Solana blockchain, marks the continuation of the successful partnership between the two brands, following their initial launch in April 2024.
The Genesis Sneakers collection will be available through a raffle mint on MOOAR, an NFT marketplace developed by FLS, the gaming studio behind StepN. A total of 1,000 sneakers will be offered, with each entry costing 10,000 GMT, StepN Go’s native token. Participants who do not win will be refunded, adding an extra layer of user security and engagement.
StepN Go’s New Features Boost User Growth
Since the public beta release in September 2024, StepN Go has introduced several features designed to enhance the user experience. One standout feature is Haus, which allows users to lend their digital sneakers to friends, enabling shared earnings and fostering mutual motivation for physical activity.
In addition to Haus, StepN Go offers the Fitness Level feature, rewarding users with additional earnings based on their activity consistency. The platform also introduced a new token, Go Game Token (GGT), which users can earn by walking, jogging, or running with their NFT sneakers, further incentivizing active participation.
The app includes social features like friend lists, messaging, avatars, and various game modes, allowing users to connect, share experiences, and earn GMT rewards. Launched in 2021, the original StepN app has become one of the most popular move-to-earn games in the crypto space.
German Companies Embrace NFTs
As NFTs continue to gain traction, several German companies are exploring ways to integrate the technology into their businesses. For instance, Lufthansa introduced an NFT-based loyalty program on the Polygon network. The airline’s Uptrip mobile app allows passengers to convert travel experiences into NFTs, which can be redeemed for rewards such as bonus miles and lounge access.
Fashion brand Hugo Boss has also ventured into the NFT space, collaborating with digital designers to create exclusive virtual clothing for avatars in the metaverse. The company’s HUGO BOSS XP program, launched in May 2024, allows customers to collect and redeem NFTs through purchases, unlocking access to exclusive products, events, and other perks.
These initiatives reflect a growing trend among German brands to leverage NFTs, not just for digital fashion and loyalty programs, but also for deeper consumer engagement and innovation.
