ZachXBT, a renowned blockchain researcher operating under a pseudonym, has announced the successful recovery of a significant portion of funds from a stolen non-fungible token (NFT).
In a post shared with his vast social media following of over 505,000 followers on February 24th, ZachXBT revealed the outcome of a meticulous nine-month investigation into the theft of the DeGods #3251 NFT. He disclosed that the majority of the pilfered funds have been returned to the victim, marking a triumph in the quest for justice.
The stolen NFT, which was sold for 99 Ether (ETH) at the time, equivalent to approximately $177,000, fell victim to nefarious actors who emptied the victim’s wallet.
ZachXBT, known for his adept investigative skills and methodical approach, received a distress call from the victim in May 2023, prompting him to launch an extensive probe into the matter.
