In a startling revelation, renowned crypto YouTuber and purported insider Tiffany Fong has come forward to assert the authenticity of a widely circulated image purportedly depicting the incarcerated former CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried.
Independent crypto journalist Tiffany Fong recently shared what she described as the “first and only” photo of Sam Bankman-Fried since his reported incarceration following a fraud conviction in August 2023. The image, reportedly taken on December 17, 2023, portrays Bankman-Fried with a beard and visibly thinner physique, standing alongside five other inmates.
Fong also provided a snippet of an interview with an individual known only by the alias G-Lock, claiming to have communicated with Bankman-Fried during their time in jail together. According to G-Lock, Bankman-Fried’s appearance has drastically changed since his incarceration, with the once-clean-shaven executive now sporting a scruffier look.
“Sam Bankman was clean shaven, you heard, now he’s scruffier than a motherfucker,” G-Lock, purportedly a member of the Bloods gang, disclosed to Fong in the excerpt from an upcoming interview set to be released on her YouTube channel.
The revelation has stirred reactions within the crypto community, with one user expressing sympathy for Bankman-Fried despite experiencing financial losses due to FTX. Another user lamented the perceived lack of foresight by FTX management.
The legal saga of Sam Bankman-Fried culminated in a verdict on November 2, 2023, wherein the former FTX CEO was found guilty on all seven counts leveled against him.
